Coastal Construction Workshop For Home Builders

Coastal residences must be constructed to meet the unique conditions and forces associated with living near the coast. Storm surge and wave action make coastal flooding more damaging to residential buildings than inland flooding. Coastal erosion, wind-driven rain, and high wind pressures are typically more severe in coastal areas than inland areas. These circumstances require that coastal homes be designed and constructed to withstand higher loads and endure more extreme conditions, and will require more maintainence than inland homes.
