Where to view paper copies of local flood maps:
All RI communities have local flood rate maps, also called flood insurance rate maps (FIRMs). Please contact your local National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Coordinator to arrange a time to review the local maps.

Updating Rhode Island’s Flood Maps
The average age of the approximately 218 FIRM panels in Rhode Island is 16 years. The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA), in cooperation with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is in the process of updating its Flood Insurance Rate Maps and will be making them available in a digital GIS format.
